1. Acceptance & eligibility

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AlgoViz at algoviz.io and its sub-paths (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. EU/UK users must meet the digital-consent age of their member state (13–16). India users must meet the DPDP Act's age threshold for the data we process.

2. The service

AlgoViz is an education product teaching Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) via original slide-based lessons, quizzes, and flashcards. The Service is free to use. There are no paid plans, subscriptions, or one-time purchases. No account is required to learn — just open the app and read.

If you submit your email to the "Get update emails" form, we'll use it only to email you when new lessons or material updates land. See Privacy Policy.

3. Your license to use the content

AlgoViz grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study and interview preparation.

This license does not grant you any right to:

Independent re-implementation of the algorithms taught (writing your own code from the patterns you learn) is encouraged and not restricted — that is the point. Verbatim reproduction of slide content, explanations, or accompanying material is not licensed.

4. Acceptable use

When using AlgoViz, you agree NOT to:

We may block, throttle, or technically deter access for violations.

5. Intellectual property

All AlgoViz content — including slide decks, illustrations, explanations, quizzes, flashcards, code examples, the Learning Path curriculum, the website design, and the AlgoViz name and logo — is the original work of AlgoViz and is protected under copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws in India and internationally.

Solution code shared by AlgoViz under explicit open-source licenses (e.g., in a public solutions/ repository) is governed by that license, not by these Terms.

6. Watermarking acknowledgment

To deter and trace unauthorized redistribution, AlgoViz embeds both invisible (zero-width Unicode) and visible (faint diagonal) watermarks in every lesson rendered to your browser. By using the Service you acknowledge that watermarks identify the originating session/device and that watermark-removal tools used to circumvent traceability are a material breach of these Terms. Watermarks are described in the Privacy Policy §2.3.

7. Update emails

If you submit your email via the "Get update emails" form, you consent to receive non-commercial update emails from us about new lessons, fixes, or material changes. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We honor unsubscribes within 24 hours. We do not share, sell, or rent the list. We do not send promotional emails for third parties.

8. Warranties & disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.

While we take editorial care, AlgoViz does not warrant that:

You are responsible for verifying any code or analysis before using it in production. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights under your local law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AlgoViz's aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is zero (the Service is provided free of charge with no consideration paid). In no event shall AlgoViz be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, even if advised of the possibility.

Nothing in this section limits liability for: (i) death or personal injury caused by negligence, (ii) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, (iii) any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law (including non-waivable EU consumer rights and Indian Consumer Protection Act rights).

10. Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We may also modify these Terms; the "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
